I did not read John Steinbeck's article in Harper's Bazaar, nor have heard of this quote prior to visiting Positano this summer, but he summarizes my feelings exactly. There has not been one day since our return that I haven't thought of this enchanted town. I'm not sure why it longingly calls to me, but perhaps it is the locals, the fresh food, the lemons, its peacefulness, and beauty. I can't wait to return!
