I don't want to lead anyone astray, this "tea" recipe doesn't actually have tea in it. Just freshly brewed mint springs and lavender out of my garden. This tea so light and refreshing, served over ice is perfect on a hot summer afternoon.
Ingredients for Lavender Mint Tea
- 4-5 sprigs of mint
- 12 sprigs of lavender
- 4-6 cups of water
- Place at least 4 cups of water into a medium sauce pan. Bundle the lavender and mint together and place into pan. Cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes. Allow to cool, stain out the lavender/mint. Since this is a very mild drink I would not advise adding sugar, allow the natural flavors to shine. Enjoy!
