Watermelon Lemonade

Ingredients for Watermelon Lemonade (makes 6 qts)

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed (about 1/4 of a small watermelon)

  • 3- 12 oz packages of frozen lemonade concentrate

  • 1 cup simple syrup (1 cup water, boiled into 1 cup granulated sugar. stir until dissolved)

  • optional: fresh mint or basil sprigs

Directions for Watermelon Lemonade

  1. Place cubed watermelon into a food processor. Pulse until liquified.

  2. Strain liquified watermelon into a bowl, set aside.

  3. Make lemonade per instructions on package ( 1 can of concentrate to 2 qts of water). Add stained watermelon liquid, stir together. If too tart add simple syrup. I used 1 cup for the 6 quart beverage container.

  4. Stir prior to serving. Optional garnish: lemon wedges/slices, fresh basil or mint leaves.
